Hearst Castle

This is the Roman Pool or the indoor pool, located underneath the tennis courts next to the main house. There are tall arched window on each end which illuminates light into the area from the skylights between the tennis courts. Because of the gold engravings this room is known to be the most expensive of the whole estate. It took about eight tile setters over three and a half years to complete the tile work in the area. The pool is about ten feet deep and holds 205,000 gallons of water.
